Here’s a color-coded version of Krugman’s “Moochers” chart from today, using the 2008 election to define red/blue, as Krugman did in his conclusion. The pattern is there, but it’s not as striking as you might expect. (For example, I’m particularly surprised by Vermont’s position.)
