I’ve been looking for a new tripod and ballhead of late, and had narrowed down the ballhead candidates to RRS, Kirk, and Acra.
Then today I found out about eightmaps, which shows who donated to support passing Proposition 8 in California. Turns out the Joe Johnson, the owner of Really Right Stuff, is on the list. (Do a location search for Los Osos if you want to find him, I just accidentally happened on him while exploring.)
Regardless of the quality of their product, I don’t want my money to help fund hate. So RRS is off the list, and now it’s down to Acra or Kirk. Guess that makes my decision easier. Thanks, eightmaps!
